Gravatars – A beginner’s guide.. “karmashadows first Gravatar”

Posted on Updated on

When I first realised that I could produce a gravatar, which would hover around me wherever I visited on the web, I immediately took to the idea. I think the sites where a gravatae cannot yet be seen are three of the most popular social networking sites. Although there are plenty of popular social networking sites so the idea of being able to produce a gravatar of myself is extremely interesting and soon I imagine it will be “expected” to see a gravatar hovering alongside every user?.

Well, firstly I read the basic information written by the author of the information (add name of author/authors) and that it says that I could follow the instructions to produce my own gravatar. So… here goes. I think I can choose from using a photograph to start, or without a photo a graphic image would be generated. I must admit that I am finding this process of great interest, and I am defiantly looking forward to seeing the resuults. I’ve emailed myself several photographs that have been taken of me in the last three months, and I’m hoping that the results of producing my first gravatar will be fantastic. I’d like it to look ladylike and that shouldn’t be a problem as when I let my hair down, it is so long that it passes my waist.

Next, It’s 17.30gmt = one relaxing bath 🛁, I can continue later this evening, laters karmashadow 🐺🐾🐾 Lynda x

Heartbleed Security Update

Posted on

The WordPress.com Blog

Last week, a very serious bug in OpenSSL was disclosed.  OpenSSL, a set of open source tools to handle secure communication, is used by most Internet websites.  This bug, nicknamed Heartbleed, allowed an attacker to read sensitive information from vulnerable servers and possibly steal things like passwords, cookies, and encryption keys.

Was WordPress.com vulnerable to Heartbleed?

Yes. WordPress.com servers were running the latest version of OpenSSL, which was vulnerable. We generally run the latest version of OpenSSL to enable performance enhancements, such as SPDY, for our users. The non-vulnerable versions of OpenSSL were over two years old.

Has WordPress.com fixed the issue?

Yes. We patched all of our servers within a few hours of the public disclosure.

Has WordPress.com replaced all SSL certificates and private keys?

Yes. Out of an abundance of caution, we have replaced all of our SSL certificates, along with regenerating all of the associated…

Checking aka Testing a Tablet Theory against that of a Standard Set-up.

I’m going to opt for the ‘sensible’, or ‘easier way’ to accomplish my goals of creating (well those that don’t involve the use of paint) and of course I won’t deny loving my Smartphones and Tablets but yes on this occasion I definitely think I should wait until I’m in front of a full sized monitor, with a 102 keyboard

Although I won’t deny that I do find slitting like this,
quite comfortably, cross legged on the floor shelf (aka carpet/mat) surrounded by tablets, the layout itself not altogether too different than having many Windows/Boxes open one single screen but without the overlap – actually, I’ve already mentioned that it’s so extremely comfy, and I’m a realist also, plus I like to play it safe, which on this occasion means simply that I’m having better odds

Note to self: remove & replace later with something worth reading, or start thinking of ways to p
Just a thought….. I’ve been watching the Election Debate on BBC 1 (21:00-23:00hrs bst). I’m considering the situation of another Hung Parliament… I don’t know how many other people have already come to this conclusion, and just before the closing statements (one minute each on the clock)…
“BlueKIP”?
(I wonder if I could place a bet on that with William Hill?).

If you want real change, you will have *VOTE FOR IT!*
I wouldn’t like a party that needs propping up, nor one that would enjoy plunging the entire UK into yet another negative equity!. I’m not even concerned that the liberal democrats weren’t mentioned. Nor am I concerned that David Cameron didn’t take part,
