Do You Desire Improved Blog Growth?

Posted on

I’m just starting out, due to time limitations!!

Get new traffic from blog directories Use Blog Directories to improve your blog’s growth.

Are you satisfied with your efforts to grow your blog?

Do you feel you’ve done everything in your power to add new readership?

One way you can get your blog to grow is through referral traffic from blog directories.  You can submit your entire blog, or you can submit articles you’ve already written.

This post will show you examples of each.

Unlike guest posts, which usually require you to submit original material, you don’t have to do any additional writing.  The work is already done.

All that’s needed is for you to submit to those directories.

This post will introduce you to possibilities to submit both your blog and your individual posts.  These directories are possible sources of traffic for you since new readers can find your blog through them.

Finding Myself Through Writing

When was the last time you tapped on a share button under a post you enjoyed reading? How fast do you respond to comments on your site? Do you follow back or LIKE on Facebook?

  1. I just recently realized how important those share button are at the bottom of each post. You know the ones I’m talking about don’t you? Twitter – Google – Facebook – Pinterest- the list goes on an and on. Your tweet or Facebook share or whatever you tapped on is on its way to the source with your site or name attached!
  2. Another important fact is how fast you respond to a comment or like on your site. Yes, we are…

Photography Increase your blog traffic with your camera.

You know how to write a blog post.

You’ve done it before for months or even years.

You can recite the three basic components in your sleep.  You research, you write, and you promote.

Wait, there’s more than three facets of blogging.  Networking is important too.

What if I told you that information is wrong?  There’s another element to your post that is critical to its success.

A question for Gravatar users

karmashadow:

I’ve a most deserving reason for reblogging “The Gravatar Blog”- Having had my own foray into the world of Gravatars, I can honestly say that this blog is a goldmine of information, and as such will both arm and educate anyone wishing to construct their own Gravatar – making ithe Gravatar increase in popularity!.

I’m certainly looking forward to seeing a Gravatar app, although hypothetically considering the two major formats are too close to call popularity wise, will that mean that an app should be designed for both of the major mobile platforms?. If it was politics, for instance say a general election?, and neither platform received a clear majority of votes, so that would mean a coalition! Can anyone imagine an app that could cater for both android & ios? – maybe not, (cringe) LOL, way too daunting a decision! – smile

Reminder of why I’m doing this in case I happen to forget the exact precise reason, or thereabout. When I write I tend to use anything that comes to hand, only editing when I’m in front of a full sized monitor, with a full size keyboard. However, this doesn’t always work out the way I’d like. There’s an excellent chance that it won’t happen as lack of time, sleep, pain, the wrong type of rain, snow, or sleep and time or lack of, or for any other reason.

I’m going to opt for the ‘sensible’, or rather the ‘easier way’ to optimise my time and accomplish all current goals of creating (well those that don’t involve the use of paint). So to find out what I can use Smartphones and Tablets for and it could and can be much easier if I did and quite comfortably, cross legged on the floor shelf (aka carpet/mat) surrounded by tablets, the layout itself not altogether too different than having many Windows/Boxes open one single screen but without the overlap – actually, I’ve already mentioned that it’s so extremely comfy, and I’m a realist also, plus I like to play it safe, which on this occasion means simply that I’m having better odds

Gravatars – A beginner’s guide.. “karmashadows first Gravatar”

November 19, 2014 · 1 Comment · Edit
When I first realised that I could produce a gravatar, which would hover around me wherever I visited on the web, I immediately took to the idea. I think the sites where a gravatae cannot yet be seen are three of the most popular social networking sites. Although there are plenty of popular social networking sites so the idea of being able to produce a gravatar of myself is extremely interesting and soon I imagine it will be “expected” to see a gravatar hovering alongside every user?.

Well, firstly I read the basic information written by the author of the information (add name of author/authors) and that it says that I could follow the instructions to produce my own gravatar. So… here goes. I think I can choose from using a photograph to start, or without a photo a graphic image would be generated. I must admit that I am finding this process of great interest, and I am defiantly looking forward to seeing the resuults. I’ve emailed myself several photographs that have been taken of me in the last three months, and I’m hoping that the results of producing my first gravatar will be fantastic. I’d like it to look ladylike and that shouldn’t be a problem as when I let my hair down, it is so long that it passes my waist.

Next, It’s 17.30gmt = one relaxing bath 🛁, I can continue later this evening, laters karmashadow 🐺🐾🐾 Lynda x

Heartbleed Security Update

April 16, 2014 · Leave a comment · Edit
Originally posted on WordPress.com News:

Last week, a very serious bug in OpenSSL was disclosed. OpenSSL, a set of open source tools to handle secure communication, is used by most Internet websites. This bug, nicknamed Heartbleed, allowed an attacker to read sensitive information from vulnerable servers and possibly steal things like passwords, cookies, and encryption keys.

Was WordPress.com vulnerable to Heartbleed?

Yes. WordPress.com servers were running the latest version of OpenSSL, which was vulnerable. We generally run the latest version of OpenSSL to enable performance enhancements, such as SPDY, for our users. The non-vulnerable versions of OpenSSL were over two years old.

Has WordPress.com fixed the issue?

Yes. We patched all of our servers within a few hours of the public disclosure.

Has WordPress.com replaced all SSL certificates and private keys?

Yes. Out of an abundance of caution, we have replaced all of our SSL certificates, along with regenerating all of the associated…
